Branch BBQ

We had a Branch BBQ on Saturday. These are some of the pictures of it with the Branch members here in Constanta. We had chicken burgers and roasted peppers. The Romanians love Suc, which is pop and juice mixed. The tap water is bad, we all have filters on our faucets in the apartment. So, we only drink bottled water or suc. We had a Greek Salad, which is tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, with a vinegrette dressing mixed in it. They don't use lettuce as much as Americans do. For desert, the Romanians love their ice cream and croissants with Nutella inside. Look close, notice anything familiar on the food table besides the watermelon? Yup, Heinz Ketchup! The younger looking couple is the Branch Pres. Alin Contianescu, and his wife Mariana. They are super nice. Pres Alin, (they go by both first and last names it get's confusing at times) and his wife both speak really good English. Alin served a mission in the UK somewhere. They have been members for over 10 years.

Sea Lion Show at Delfinaru Aquarium

My Companion and I went to an Aquarium today on our P-Day. It's not quite like Sea World, but it was fun none-the-less. I e-mailed these pictures to mom, and she thought the lady was a wax figure! Funny thing though - their not that techno advanced!

Baptisms in the Black Sea

The Elders in my District had a couple of Baptism's on Saturday. Their names are Nelu and Carma. I was asked to be a witness to Carma's Baptism, they chose to be Baptized in the Black Sea. The only real font we have is in the Chapel in Bucharest, or a portable font called a Bazin (pronounced baazeen). So, during the warmer months, investigators have the option to be Baptized in the Black Sea, here in Constanta, as Nelu and Carma did. It was an awesome experience!
