Zach's Missionary Exchange Experience

This week I did an exchange with Elder Horgmo. The district leader does one with every missionary in the district once a transfer. It was really fun. I really like Elder Horgmo. He is so funny! Actually this whole district. We are all really good friends right now. This Wednesday I'll be doing the other exchange with Elder Pettit. Elder Horgmo's companion. Anyway, so that day Elder Horgmo and I did the normal things. I also helped him with any questions he had etc. He is also teaching me a little bit of Norwegian. It is pretty fun and pretty simple actually. The only hard part is that Norwegians have a really crazy accent. It has so many inflections in the words as you speak. Your voice has to go up and down as you speak on the right syllables. Then, I just had to make sure everything is alright, you know. Give suggestions and any corrections, etc. Then I had to send a little report to Pres. Lundberg. He did great. He is doing really good with everything. We've been in Pitesti since the same time and I've seen him grow so much since his boboc (1st transfer) stage.

The Tulip Festival is Here!

The Tulip Festival is finally here! We had two restless nights trying to get some sleep with the music of all the  concerts on the square. It was a bit difficult since we live practically right in the middle of it all. But, despite the all the noise, the flowers and celebrations were awesome. They had music set to a water light show that was pretty spectacular.

Simfonia Lalelelor - The Pitesti Tulip Festival - Parada Florilor!

Pitesti is preparing for their annual Simfonia Lalelelor, their "Tulip Festival". Because we live right in the middle of town on the square, I see the workers preparing for the Parada Florilor everyday. The flowers have come up already because the workers made greenhouses all around them to make them grow faster and bigger. So, once it all happens, I'll get some pictures for you all to enjoy! It's quite a big celebration here in the city of Pitesti, people from all over Eastern Europe travel here to see the tulips!
